A name.
Something so insignificant, yet to Aeyli, the nameless girl, it meant a great deal.
Everything had changed. Freed from her family's machinations, her life should have been easier, but nothing could have been further from the truth.
She'd lost Fourteen.
The Company had reclaimed their property, and he was now firmly back in the ranks of the brainwashed supersoldiers. Yet it wasn't where he belonged. He belonged with Aeyli, and she was determined to get him back.
At least this time she had allies. Team Fire - Marshall, Adelle and Jack - the very members of the guard who had investigated her, were now just as committed to rescuing Fourteen as Aeyli was, but they had problems of their own.
Haunted by the past, Team Fire had learned that Nova, the girl they'd failed to protect, was still alive. Faced with the chance to redeem themselves, there was nothing they wouldn't do to save her.
Two targets, two missions, the newly formed bonds between Aeyli and the team would be stretched to their limits. Lines would be crossed, with the potential to tear them apart.
Could the four of them save the ones they loved? Or would they lose everything trying?
